Unstable Bottled Water Pallets: Locate Where Stability Is Lost
An unstable pallet may originate in pack quality, stacking geometry, the pallet itself, wrapping or later handling. Inspect the load at defined stages instead of judging only the final wrapped appearance. Keep pallet stability separate from legal transport approval.
Follow the observed pattern
| What you observe | What to compare next |
|---|---|
| Layers shift before wrapping | Compare pack dimensions, actual layer placement, overhang and the approved pallet pattern. Check whether packs are already distorted before the palletizer. |
| The load changes after wrapping | Record containment settings and visible bottle or pack deformation. Have the packaging supplier assess the load and wrap system together; more wrap is not automatically a correction. |
| Damage appears after movement | Record route, handling equipment, load orientation and the agreed distribution test. Compare photographs at the palletizer, wrapper and receiving point. |
Evidence to send with a support request
Provide pack and pallet dimensions, layer drawing, actual stack photographs, material lots, load mass basis and handling sequence. Identify the stability criterion and test responsibility before comparing equipment proposals or packaging changes.
Illustrative diagnostic comparison
If layers remain square before wrapping but packs crush afterward, a stacking-pattern change alone may not address the issue. If a stable wrapped load shifts only after one transfer, preserve evidence of that movement before attributing the failure to the palletizer.
Confirm the next action
Record the bottle, cap and material lot; machine and format recipe; time, speed and operating state. Separate direct observations from suspected causes. Preserve an unchanged comparison and identify who approved any trial.
- Record the approved change, comparable before-and-after observations, defect counts with their denominators, and quality or maintenance approval. A symptom disappearing once does not establish a durable correction.
- Repeat the check during the operating state that originally produced the defect. Keep restart losses and rejected product in the record; a faster machine reading alone is not proof of improvement.
Use approved site procedures and the machine manual. Isolate energy before physical inspection or clearing a jam; never bypass guards or interlocks. Quality personnel decide containment and release of affected product. These guides do not prescribe universal pressure, temperature, torque or cleaning settings.

Required evidence — Water Bottle Pallet Pattern Design
| Input or result / Unit | Evidence to request | Substitution to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Gross pack mass (kg) | Record the gross mass of one complete pack in the evaluated format, including its liquid and packaging. State whether it is measured or calculated. | Pack gross mass must not be confused with net liquid mass. Layer pads, pallet tare and other pallet-level materials belong outside a single-pack mass. |
| Packs per layer (Quantity) | Confirm complete packs in one approved layer and retain the actual pattern drawing. Identify any incomplete layer or format-specific exception. | Area divided by pack footprint does not establish an achievable pattern. Orientation, overhang, gaps and handling constraints require the actual layout. |
